Re: [science-iwg] Poster DAWN Workshop - EclipseCon France

Hi,

I am still asked for login when trying to access attachments. It may not work behind our firewall here, if not, I'd try it later. I fully appreciate a reasonable coverage of non-UI (RCP) solutions.
The 3 globes on the Science front page say "Libraries", "Processing" and "Applications".

And as one could see for IoT, aside from a few niche solutions like Lua and actually more "Tools" worthy stuff like LDT, the majority are protocols or exchange channels loke MQTT and so on.

Here exchange formats would be HL7 and embedded standards like UCUM, where the UOMo project comes into play, a good example for a fairly non-RCP solution and library. Of course ther are some RCP tutorials and samples, but (and that is a key reason why EclipseCon and similar often had a hard time to imagine its use case outside Scientific or Medical domains;-) the majority of work happens behind the scenes or between different tiers of a Science or SensorWeb.

Cheers,
Werner
