Fellow RT PMC,
This CQ is basically approval for delivering preview functionality of JPA 2.0 based on a draft of the specification made available by JSR 317 expert group. As part of developing the reference implementation we need to implement the functionality specified in the draft(s).
The IP coming in is clearly stated in the draft as an extension our current JPA 1.0 functionality.
NOTE: We continue to ensure that EclipseLink releases are JPA 1.0 compliant so that consumers of EclipseLink releases including the JPA 2.0 preview features have the choice of not using them until the specification is completed and the compliant RI is delivered.
I am in favour of a quick +1 on this but since it is a little different then the norm I thought I would allow you to voice any conflicting opinions before we proceed.

This is an extension of approved CQ 1616 - JPA 1.0.
