Re: [recommenders-dev] Setting up an AERI discovery/reporting server for JBoss Developer Studio error reporting

Nick,

I’m in a conversation with Max to set up a server for JBoss Tools. I’ll contact you with more details as soon as this server is available (probably Wednesday).

Please note that AERI is not part of Code Recommenders anymore. It moved to EPP.
Please send questions, requests etc. to the EPP forum. See [1] for more details on this.

Thanks,
Marcel

In https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-3566 we added the single
org.eclipse.epp.logging.aeri.feature to our JBDS product definition,
but the resulting build doesn't allow reporting of errors back to
Eclipse and doesn't include a defined server to which to submit error
reports.

Do we need a separate reporting server, with different JSON settings,
in order to collect information from a product that's not in the
org.eclipse.* namespace?

If so, how many files need to be on the server, and do we need
anything other than a simple Apache instance to serve them? Do we need
anything dynamic (cgi, jsp, php, etc.) to collect the data, or can
that be redirected to eclipse.org? Can reports be submitted to JIRA,
or does this only work with Bugzilla?

If you can point me at your codebase, I can hopefully throw you some
patches for making this work on devstudio.redhat.com (outside the
eclipse.org infra).

Thanks in advance,
