Re: [rdf4j-dev] Rescheduling next minor release

Partly due to laxity on my side (apologies), partly due to things generally getting off to a slow start, January 19 is not going to be possible for a minor release.

I suggest we aim for a February 2 release - which means I will need to get the IP log and review request sorted by tomorrow.

See the minor release planning board (https://github.com/eclipse/rdf4j/projects/2 ) for an overview of what’s planned for release 2.2. Most of the issues still in the To-Do column will likely not be fixed in that time. Mark, can you let me know if issue #713 and #716 are likely to be complete in time? Peter, how about issue #684?

And what do we do with the fast inferencer? We can go ahead and include it, marking it as an experimental new feature for this release, or we can leave it, and do some further work on it first. Preferences?

Cheers,

Jeen

RDF4J release 2.2 was scheduled for December 22. However, we currently have a lot of open issues, and not a huge amount of completed improvements.

I suggest that we postpone our scheduled release date to after Christmas and New Year. First opportunity is January 19.

In the meantime, I will be doing a 2.1.4 patch release middle of next week. There’s currently 3 issues planned for this, see https://github.com/eclipse/rdf4j/milestone/15 . Let me know if you have any other bug fixes you’d like to see added to this release.

Cheers,

Jeen
