Nope. It's just a wrapper for the perforce client api.

Regarding the fact that eclipse is currently available for Windows, Linux,
Solaris and QNX and the native Perforce API is available for the same
platforms, I would rather spend my energy on the plugin first because that's
what I need - a perforce plugin.
But if you are going to build a pure Java API anyway, we can agree on the
interfaces to make an easy transition, once the API is ready.
