This is P3 on our schedule, meaning it would be desirable but may not
occur for 2.0 due to scheduling constraints.

Subject: [platform-vcm-dev] Persistent Resource properties
Will the design include an provisions for maintaining in a repository any
persistent resource properties that might exist? Some providers may be
able to support this better than others. For those providers that can
support resource properties an architected mechanism to do so would be
worthwhile.
