Anou,

We will faithfully persist your bookmark URL, so if you encode user and
password as arguments of the query, we will save that too. This information
is saved in the workspace somewhere in the .metadata directory. The
information is not encrypted but since it is in your local directory, I
don't think it is going to be a problem. However, you may have an issue
with the fact that password is transmitted as part of a URL when
connecting.

                      Please respond to
                      platform-update-dev

I tried the simple way of securing the site.xml and the authentication box
pops up, which is neat, before I wasn't sure how updatemgr will handle it.
thanks.

Just wondering if it will be nice to keep the user/pswd in the properties
of
the site bookmarks for future connection to the site ?

regards,
-Anou
