FWIW, every time someone commits code to PTP's CVS repository (this includes Photran commits), a notification is sent to the ptp-cvs-commit mailing list with a (partial) diff, the list of modified files, and the commit comment.  It's not really necessary to subscribe, but if you want to, you can subscribe to that list below.  I recommend signing up for a digest version so you're not flooded with messages.
