That is clear. LLM text, even in part, is not allowed.
I have been seeing this debate in many projects. I think the policy
should be "no LLM text at all, in code, in issues, in PR text,
mailinglists, or any other place intended to be read by humans".
Loosening for mechanical edits by those familiar with the codebase,
after the Ecliipse foundation lawyers think it prudent to adjust the CLA
can be left for future work. A ban now is now forever. Admitting LLM
code is hard to reverse.
I would suggest asking in the PR
Was any of this text, PR comments, or text in the commits generated by
an LLM?
If so:
Why was this not attributed or mentioned?
Please explain how LLM text is consistent with the CLA
My experience is that when I ask questions like that, the result is
often silence.
