Apologies to Roger and Pierre, I've been submerged with other work recently, hoping to surface soon.
It will be great to have Pierre helping out on the Python client. I have in the past been concerned that new committers understand the responsibilities that go along with the role (see https://www.eclipse.org/projects/dev_process/three-laws-of-eclipse.php).
But as the project is so diverse, none of us can expect to keep track of developments in all the components. So as committers, we have to trust the opinion and advice of the committer responsible for that component. As committers we do have the responsibility to take part in these elections, otherwise the project will not move forward. 

So, committers, please vote!

I believe he would be a valuable member of the team and would inject some
vitality into the Python client development.

The vote is being held via the MyFoundation portal: voters *must* use the
portal for the votes to be properly recorded.  The voting will continue
until either all 11 existing Committers have voted or until they have been
given enough time to vote, even if they do not do so (defined as at least
one week). Pierre Fersing must receive at least three +1s and no -1s for a
successful election.

Eligible Committers must cast their votes through their My Foundation
portal page (do NOT just reply to this email; your vote will not be
correctly recorded unless you use the portal):
