Re: [paho-dev] Patch for websocket support in Go lib

When I try to create a bug, Paho isn't listed. Here is what I see if I actually manipulate the URL myself. No idea if I'm just missing the right URL.

I just created a test bug in Paho and I am not a Paho committer.   I selected Paho as the product and MQTT-Java as the component.

Paul and Ilya can you be a bit more specific about what product and component you selected? Everyone certainly should be able to submit bugs.

Paul,

that's strange.  I'm sure we've had bugs raised by people other than committers before.  Does the error message give any more information?

I think its misconfigured. I have an id. I can create a bug in many other projects, but not Paho. Looks like the permissions are wrong.

Hi Ilya,

you should be able to raise a bug once you've created an Eclipse.org account (https://dev.eclipse.org/site_login/createaccount.php).  It's a while since I did this myself, but I'm not aware of the process being too onerous.  Did some part not work for you?

Hi List, I have a little patch to fix websocket support. It currently doesn't work out of the box as the Go websocket lib requires you to set payload type to binary, otherwise a decent server or proxy implementation refuses to process the binary payloads. I tried logging in to the bug tracker in attempt to submit my patch, but seems like this is a bit of a big blue land and folks from the internetz may not submit bug reports or patches after signing up and doing at least two things to prove they aren't a bot.
