I'd assumed the message viewer window was to show more detail about the message than could be shown in the lists. I'll ask.
I could comment on details about the design probably forever, but I thought I'd let someone else have a go :-)

The current utility is my very quick port of the old IBM IA92 MQTT client
GUI. We also have the Eclipse MQTT client view. It would be nice to have
all GUIs looking the same, using as much of the same code as possible...
but that might be too much work.
