Re: [orion-dev] Outline preference selection doesn't stick
I haven't experienced this: I set my Outliner to Nonymous weeks ago and it's stayed there ever since.
Are you actively logging into your server as different users? If so, you could be seeing a case like this:
  1. User A logs in.
  2. A sets outliner to nonymous, then logs out.
  3. Using the same browser, user B logs in.
  4. B gets A's preferences (Bug 340964).
  5. B sets outliner to default.
  6. A logs in again -- outliner is back to the default.

I remember discussing this with someone but I wonder now if it was IRC or email and not in a bug report:

If you select a new Outliner, the selection is tacky but not really epoxy like you want ;-)

Sometimes the new selection sticks sometimes not. I thought this was:

Bug 340964 - [client] preferences displayed to all users on same browser

but the title and description seem quite different.

Any one else see this or know about it?
