We're proud to announce that Eclipse OpenJ9 can now be built with OpenJDK8 ! We've written up a more detailed announcement that you can read at the web site (see https://www.eclipse.org/openj9/oj9_whatsnew.html#openjdk8_ga) but, if you just cannot contain your excitement, you can download OpenJDK8 with Eclipse OpenJ9 binaries right now from AdoptOpenJDK at https://adoptopenjdk.net/releases.html?variant=openjdk8-openj9.
