Hi Kenn

I think we have to check with Wayne or at least EMO anyway, since
the names in question are mostly only EMO-editable. Will you do so,
or shall I? I can ask about MDT/OCL but it will be a bit odd for me
to ask to change MDT/UML2's name. (I'm only proposing changes to
descriptive names; no changes to functional component/sub-component
names such as Bugzilla, Project-Summary-ids - nb CVS has already
    changed.)

We'd probably need to check with Wayne to see whether it's
possible to change the name of the projects. The current names
were "grandfathered" at a time when the concept of a "component"
still existed (at least in some of our minds), hence it was
important to include the parent project in the name and nest
newsgroups, Bugzilla components, etc.. Since then, the
Foundation has moved towards exposing sub-projects at the top
level, with a flat(ter) newgroup and Bugzilla structure...

            Hi

            http://www.eclipse.org/indigo/projects.php
            lists the Indigo projects.

The MDT project prefix for OCL, UML, XSD seems very
unhelpful; it is only meaningful to Eclipse administration
            experts.

Acceleo is not M2T Acceleo, Xtext is not TMF Xtext, QVTo is
not M2M QVT... so why MDT?

Ok. EMF is used for EMF projects, but to drop EMF on Compare
or Query or Transaction would be confusing.

Is it too late to drop MDT from our public names?

               Regards
