Jeff,

What if merge RDT branch (only common remote infra) for 0.9.1? Do
you
think doable?
0.9.1 is supposed to be pure bugfix release and this doesn't sound
like one.
If you feel like there is a need for new release with new
functionality in it we can always do
0.10 before June.
Oh, sure, makes sense.

What is expected for June? 1.0?

Releases with new functionality require release review and pmc
approval so if we try to do such thing
it will slow down the 0.9.1 release and make it miss the SR2
deadline.
Sorry if I misunderstood smth.
What about releasing Perf and the RDT branch in a 0.10 release? Is
the
process of creating a new release complicated? I can help you if
you
want in that. Can't we do 0.10 and 0.9.1 in parallel? So that we
can
do 0.9.1 before the deadline.
Just an complement of Otávio's thoughts: we are eager to consume Perf
and RDT branch but we can't wait until June so, from our side it is
really desired an 0.10 release. Thanks Otávio for kindly volunteer to
help on this release!

Our team is working/thinking on solutions for remote Valgrind, RPM,
Oprofile, Perf (plans for the future) and Autotools (actually, only
testing integration with PTP of Jeff's work) with assumption that
Jeff's
RDT branch will be merged in near future and also will become the
common
infrastructure for remote enablement of Linux Tools plug-ins.

Perf is already into the master branch. We have sent fixes but there
is
more to be done (e.g. an user guide plug-in).
Having 0.10 before June is perfectly fine (actually I expected it). Please consider that it takes few weeks to get the iplog approved and etc. and start a new mail thread proposing having 0.10 release and some date for it. Once there is agreement about it details won't be a problem.

Great! Alex, thanks for helping us!

Alex

I am going to make a 0.9.1 build for SR2. It will include the
p2.inf
changes to automatically add our update site that weren't in the
0.9.0
release plus the moving of the dataviewer classes to their own
feature.

Do not make any changes to the stable-0.9 branch.
