Re: [jetty-users] jetty-maven-plugin, war overlay and hot redeploy

Hi Jan,

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I'm trying to make jetty automatically reload classes and resources from SharedWeb (dependency war) without installing it to maven repository. So for example when I use jetty:run goal of maven plugin, My resources and compiled classes from main project are reloaded automatically as soon as I made changes due to jetty scanning mechanism. So I'm just wondering if it is possible to achieve the same thing for overlaid war. If I install dependency war to local maven repo and restart server all working as expected and I see my changes, it just takes more time comparing with hot reloading.

Thanks,
Ivan

Ivan,

To be clear about what you're reporting:  you are saying that when you
change static resources or classes from inside a dependency war, then
re-make that war and install it to your maven repo, jetty
automatically restarts but you are seeing old static resources and
classes? Even after doing a full and proper refresh of your browser
page (ie eliminated browser caching?)

thanks
Jan
