Re: [jersey-dev] Releasing Jersey 4.0.1
|
Arjan,
thanks for chiming in. Feel free to nominate me as a project lead
if you like ("hereby self-nominating me"). IIUC I am the
next-to-follow committer after the Oracle guys, looking at Github
long-term stats.
Do you know some background? Is Jersey sunset at Oracle? Is the
Prague team dissolved completely?
Regards
-Markus

Hi,
Because Jan no longer works with Oracle (and neither do
some of the other regulars on the project from Oracle)
OmniFish is stepping in and trying to help. Another well known
vendor using Jersey in their product has unfortunately more or
less declined to help out.
Although releasing Jersey is not that different from other
Eclipse projects, like Mojarra or Soteria, I still like to be
extra careful here. Additionally, because of the Maven Central
changes and the "ci friendly version" changes (revision
parameter in the pom) the release job had to be updated, so
this also warrants extra care.
Kind regards,
Arjan Tijms
No
objections, and +1 for a release, but is this a new way how
Jersey
decides about release dates? IIRC I never received such a
request in the
past, but Jan simply released as he liked (or I missed it).
