While the Control key is pressed, you
can hover with the mouse over identifiers.
If the identifier has a corresponding
declaration, it turns into a link which can be clicked.
The declaration is then opened in the
editor. The link color can be changed in
the Java Editor Preference Appearance
page.

To make it short: It's like the F3 key
but with using the left mouse button.
