Re: [jdt-dev] Gerrit build trigger access

Hi Manoj,

I tried “please rebuild” but seems like it didn’t work.

Best regards,
Gayan.

Thanks Ed for the suggestion - that indeed is a really good way.
@Gayan: I've added the build trigger.

Manoj

Thanks Ed, can we have something like this for JDT as well JDT admins ? I think its much better than doing white space changes in the commit message.  Best regards, Gayan.  On Mon, 22 Mar 2021 at 07:39, Ed Merks <ed.merks@xxxxxxxxx ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍

FYI,

It is possible to add a way to be able to retrigger a Gerrit build without having to provide login permissions.

E.g., for EMF's Gerrit build I have this:

As such, if a comment is added to the review containing the phrase "please rebuild", the build will be triggered again.

Ed

Committers can login to jenkins and press retrigger on the job  https://ci.eclipse.org/jdt/job/eclipse.jdt.core-Gerrit/4231/ the retrigger link is on the left side of the page.

No-committers can rebase their change, or resubmit with a trivial change (like a newline in the commit message), or just ask a committer to do the above.

I'm not a jdt committer, or else I would have just hit retrigger for you.

Hi All,

I would like to know how retrigger a gerrit build in JDT project. This is my gerrit https://git.eclipse.org/r/c/jdt/eclipse.jdt.core/+/177321.

If i lack permission how should i ask for permission ?
