Re: [jakartaee-platform-dev] [External] : Re: Reminder: Platform Dev. call -- 8 AM PDT August 10

I'm just filling in for Ivar.
If you are suggesting we need to adopt some additional steps --
that's certainly useful feedback. As I wrote -- I took the role of
hosting the meeting, participated with the team in taking notes,
substituting for Ivar while he's out.
He (maybe with Kevin?) has adopted a procedure -- if the general
feedback is we'd like to adjust that process, I'm sure we can
change it. If you are only pointing out that I skipped a step --
I'm sorry. He said he would take care of the post meeting duties
when he got back. He didn't review those steps with me. That
seemed okay with me, at the time I took the fill-in position.
The meeting notes (these aren't formal minutes, we don't take
roll for a quorum and we don't ask that the meeting notes be
accepted) are all linked here.
I do know that we can sometimes generate too much noise -- and at
others, not make enough. Feedback like this helps us find the
right balance. What would other like to see?

No,

Published
only is not enough. If publish + email copy/paste can be
brought back, that would be great.
It is
easy to forget to consume the minutes via the website, a
habitual action we throw to interested Jakartees. We could do
better.
Maybe I
am alone on this request, therefore I do appreciate your
follow up, which enables this response💜.
I find
it most efficient in Jakarta when the ossDOERs communicate via
the diverse forums in writing to welcome insight and update on
conversations, etc.
A
community educated and expected to catch up via email forums
about for example all its chosen Jakarta committees &
Platform minutes
as they are copied/pasted to the forum emails, (exported to
the website) instead of just uploading them as the sole step
is valuable & ought to be considered as +1+2 step for a
Global ecosystem that wishes to stay connected.
