Re: [jakartaee-platform-dev] Where can I be useful
|
I would advise beginning to take a look here: https://jakartaee-ambassadors.io
I think folks have given you some pretty good direction already.
In particular, helping with Jakarta Transactions I think is a very
good thing to do as is the Tutorial/FirstCup. In that regard, this
guide might help:
https://jakartaee-ambassadors.io/getting-involved/guide-for-helping-deliver-jakarta-ee-9/.
If you need further help, please don't hesitate to ask. If you
happen to run out of relevant things to do, please also reach out.
There are virtually endless ways to help.
From the Jakarta EE Ambssadors standpoint, the next major
initiative is to help test and fix Jakarta EE 9/GlassFish 6. If
you stay tuned to the Jakarta EE Ambassadors, you can't possibly
miss it.

Hey Werner,
Thanks for your answer, I'm a contributor
who signed the ECA.
I was not aware
about the Jakarta EE Ambassadors list, can you give me the
address?
Thanks,

Hello Gabriel,
Welcome.
Are you a committer member of the
Jakarta EE platform or contributor who signed the ECA which
I assume you have done at the very least, so your pull
requests can be merged?
The example and tutorial Projects can
certainly use help since they often are behind the Jakarta
EE 8 state.
Have you subscribed to the Jakarta EE
Ambassadors list? Because there are threads about
contribution and Senior Ambassadors could guide you on
contributing where it’s most needed or best suitable.
Regards,
Werner

Subject: [jakartaee-platform-dev]
Where can I be useful
I recently
started to contribute to some projects related to
Jakarta EE. To learn more about the process I
started with some simple pull requests at
jakarta-firstcup, jakarta-firstcup-examples, and
glassfish.
Today I
attended the weekly meeting and saw that have so
much work to do related to the migration of the
project. So I was wondering that have some point at
my help can be more
effective to the
project/process and I can continue learning about
the project and the process?
I'm opened
to suggestions if anyone wants to recommend some
tasks.
