On Behalf Of Steve Millidge (Payara) Hi, As part of our decision making to determine the plan to release Jakarta EE 9 I am kicking off with a couple of votes (in subsequent emails). These votes put a stake in the ground in determining the scope of Jakarta EE 9 and enables us to
move forward to plan the release with the aim of creating a release plan by December 9th.
The first vote will be for the specifications to be pruned in Jakarta EE 9 The second vote will be for specifications to be added to Jakarta EE 9
This vote will be of project committers and is being run in accordance with the
https://www.eclipse.org/projects/dev_process/ therefore the responses are +1 (yes) -1 (no or veto) 0 abstain.
We are working within the context of the Jakarta EE Steering Committee resolution shown below. RESOLVED, the Jakarta EE Steering Committee requests that the Jakarta EE Platform Project leadership deliver a Jakarta EE 9 Delivery Plan to
the Steering Committee no later than December 9, 2019, for the Steering Committee to consider adopting as the roadmap for Jakarta EE 9, and that the Jakarta EE 9 Delivery Plan accommodates the following constraints:Â
