Although I have difficulty to attend every meeting, I don't have as strong an opinion as David.
If there is something to discuss, a GitHub issue is created and can be discussed there.
And the GitHub issue is linked from the meeting minutes.
Whether e-mail discussions are preferable depends on the topic.
For example, important and/or urgent topics may be discussed via email.
Also, for topics that we don't want to discuss in public, email discussion is a good option.
