Re: [jakarta.ee-community] JAKARTA EE microservices top level diagram ?

Hi Zahid,
My comments are inline.

Jakarta  EE  has this website https://microprofile.io/

The website is about MicroProfile technologies not Jakarta EE. For Jakarta EE, you should visit https://jakarta.ee/.
As for LRA, it was under https://microprofile.io/projects/. Since MicroProfile LRA was not part of platform release, it was mentioned under the latest MicroProfile 4.1 release.

BUT the most important technology
Microprofile LRA based on the Saga pattern  is not included.

What you mentioned above is an old milestone release. The MicroProfile 1.0 final was released earlier this year. You can find the spec from here.

Thanks
Emily
The only properly organised website on microservices is microservices.io but he uses spring.

Hi Zahid,
I don't see any references to JMS in your backbutton.org site.  But, based on what was there, the first question that comes to mind is why reference such an old architecture diagram (1999)?  For one thing, JMS was just getting started in 1999.  I think it was at version 1.0.  So, that could be a reason why it's not part of that particular diagram.  You might be better off starting with the diagrams from the Jakarta EE Platform Spec (https://jakarta.ee/specifications/platform/9.1/) or finding other articles that discuss Jakarta EE and the overall architecture.  Just a suggestion...  Good luck!

Hi,

I have posed a couple of questions on my website suggesting reasons why JMS was left out  from the architectural diagram?
https://www.backbutton.org

The questions are just below the diagram of J2EE level 0 in light blue text.

I like to be accurate in what I write.
I wonder if you can confirm my reason is probably correct or not ?
