Re: [iot-sp] Running Eclipse Hawkbit on CF (IBM Bluemix and GE Predix)

BTW I should have mentioned that for those interested in actually experimenting with the Eclipse hawkBit sandboxes, you can click the "Demo" link on the home page to login. Or "admin"/"admin" as the login and password would do just the same :-)
The hawkBit wiki is also a great resource to learn more about the project in general https://github.com/eclipse/hawkbit/wiki

Objet : [iot-sp] Running Eclipse Hawkbit on CF (IBM Bluemix and GE Predix)

Hi,

For those who didn’t realize, the Eclipse hawkBit project has a sandbox sever that runs on IBM Bluemix [1] and that people can use to learn more about hawkBit and to connect their own devices for quick tests. What’s more, last week I did go through the (easy) steps of deploying hawkBit [2] and its Device Simulator [3] on GE’s Predix.

I think that’s a great showcase of CloudFoundry as a PaaS, and is a great first step in getting more Eclipse IoT projects to leverage CF ;-)

In the past, we have discussed that we should have a vendor-agnostic instance of Cloud Foundry running on e.g Amazon. Now would probably be a good time to try make this happen!
