Hi EdiTDor committers,
as the Eclipse Project Handbook describes [1], committer status is earned by means of ongoing contributions to the project and engagement in the community. I have taken a look at Bessem's track record on the EdiTDor project's GitHub repository and while
I could find two merged PRs authored by him I wasn't able to find any issues where he was involved in the discussion. This, of course, does not say anything about the quality of Bessem's contribution(s) and merely is a quantitave indicator. I also understand
that the EdiTDor project is still quite new and you would probably like to get additional committers on board quickly. However, you should keep in mind that if you grant committer status now based on such a small track record you will need to keep doing so
in the future as well in order to maintain the proverbial "level playing field" for future potential contributors. My advice to you would therefore be to give Bessem some more time to make some more substantial contributions and take part more actively in
discussions before voting him in. However, it is of course up to you, to decide. Let me know how you want to proceed.
