Is there anything else that we need to provide from our side?

I’m sorry for being pushy, but it would be great, if we could complete the transfer of the Project Lead role soon.

Hi Alex,

 

that makes perfect sense to me. But in that case, what would be missing to me, is an explicit statement from you, that you are stepping down as project lead, since you will no longer fulfil that role in the future. Unless I misunderstood you.

Kevin is going to fully replace me completely, as a Vorto project lead from this point forward, because I have taken up a completely different role in Bosch. In fact he has been handling the project for several months now superbly, and been highly engaged with the Open source community, driving the project forward (without me). I am sorry for the delay, but I think the main reason for this is the fact that it is hard for the PMC to understand the motivation for the nomination.

 

Currently Vorto already has a project lead, so why add another one from the same company? The vote only consisted of you and Alex. So it feels a bit odd, and lacks diversity IMHO. Taking a look at the project handbook [1], the nomination should also provide some kind of merit statement, which I personally just can't see in the nomination.

 

So maybe you could help us understand your motivation, so that we can go forward with a +1, or find an alternate solution.
