Same for me, +1 for the release information, well done. I agree with Jens’ and Benjamin’s feedback. The two biggest items for me are:

- The website doesn’t appear to provide proper information about the project (Jens’ comments). Maybe review other Eclipse IoT projects for a guide?
 - I am really confused by the versioning. The release if for 1.1.0, the website references 1.0, and the release material lists modules that are all 1.0.x. Maybe some clarification on
 this would be helpful.

Thanks,

Subject: Re: [iot-pmc] Eclipse ioFog release 1.1.0

A general +1 from me as well to the release information. However I think there are few things to understand/clear out before: So in addition to Benjamin's remarks, I also have trouble understanding the context of the "iofog.org"
 web page:

If this is the "development website", then I think a few things are missing [1]:

Development Website
    Is hosted on Eclipse Foundation-provided infrastructure;
    Uses the formal name including appropriate marks, e.g. Eclipse Foo™, on the page title, first mention in the text, and on all prominent references to the project;
    Project incubation status (if applicable) is correctly noted;
    Includes a concise description of the project (with all necessary marks); and
    The standard navigation links (e.g. https://www.eclipse.org) are included in the website footer.

If this is not the development website, then were would it be?

There also is a link to "community guidelines" [2], including a "code of conduct" [3]. I am not sure how that relates to the Eclipse Foundation?

I also do understand that you want to put up an "enterprise" supported version [4]. However I do see at least two problems here: How would other contributes be listed in the future? What would be the requirements to get listed on this site?
 And then the re-use of the name "ioFog" [5]. On the one page it is "Eclipse ioFog" on the other page it is "Edgeworx ioFog".

Great work on the release material! +1 from me in principal, with some additional comments below though:

I've noticed there is an
iofog.org website but:

-
it is not obvious how to find it (usually one would setup a redirect from
eclipse.org/iofog to this property)
 -
it needs some work w.r.t Eclipse trademark guidelines (i.e it should say *Eclipse* ioFog on the homepage)
 -
there is a mention of a 1.0.0 release which doesn't sound right?
https://iofog.org/releases.html
 -
you should provide a "Security" link pointing to people to https://www.eclipse.org/security/ at a minimum, so that users know how to report vulnerabilities in a responsible way.

Good afternoon, PMC team!

We are seeking your review and approval of an initial "training wheels" release of Eclipse ioFog so we can accomplish a couple of things. Those things are:

1 - Learn the process of doing an Eclipse project release so we are better prepared for our next release (which will be coming shortly after)

2 - Make an official release from the IP that was reviewed during the initial code contribution and cover some of the smaller contributions since then.

https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/iot.iofog/releases/1.1.0

Please let me know if you have any comments or feedback, especially as we are just learning the release process, but otherwise would you mind giving it a +1?
