I don't know if Max and I are speaking of the same thing, but I call
my thing "nested view of projects".

I use it often, not systematically because I'm used to the working
sets layout for some projects, but I find it pretty convenient to
open an unknown project in IDE, browse it and to open subprojects as
nested. This prevents me (and other users) from keeping in mind
what's the actual location of a module in its parent project.
You'll find a link to the related Bugzilla entry. If you like the
feature, please support it, add lovely messages to the bug. I would
like to get it part of Platform-UI for Mars but it seems far from
current Platform committers concers.
