Sadly didn't have time to followup before now, but it appears the machine is still broken
Most of not all builds fails with:

Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly.
We cannot execute /home/hudson/.hudson/tools/jdk_6/bin/java

Once it goes offline, appears need to be manually reset to online.
It is online now with enough space

The root partition in hudson-ci.org was full. That was the cause of problem
for both. The H-O-H home folder was in the root partition. Now I moved it to
another partition called /export, thus freeing up 35% space in root
partition. Now both seems to be happy.
