well, what does that exactly mean, is it 3.0 or 3.1?  ;-)
Somehow the L&B part has to be 3.0 code which has the well known issues for 
accessing it via Webservices.

then perhaps Pawel (our devel/expert there) can help further, but my guess 
would be that the version you are trying to use is old(er) than required.
