Re: [es-dev] Jakarta Security 3.0 plan review created

I'm not sure if I see that in Jakarta EE or if it made sense to merge it from MP-JWT into either of the Specs or their implementations?

At least the most recent versions of MicroProfile JWT are aware of Jakarta Security and also other specs like Authentication and Authorization besides REST and a couple of others.
That already shows, it at least optionally combines more than one Jakarta specification and mentioning it in one may not help.

A "glue" technology like MicroProfile as long as it exists on its own feels a little more versatile here than trying to cover it via a single spec.

This looks pretty good. Just want to clarify - what are the thoughts with regards to JWT?

Hi,

I created the Jakarta Security 3.0 plan here: https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/ee4j.es/releases/3.0

It's a combination of items in the tracker, and items that have been discussed before. As with all the plans, it's not set in stone, but indicates a general direction of what we're planning to do.

If anyone has any proposals for changes before the 15th, let me know specifically. Otherwise we can update the plan at any later date.

Kind regards,
Arjan Tijms
