Re: [epp-dev] EPP 2020-06 RC2

The cost is low. I have been refining the respin steps to follow and they are not complicated.

The risk is that package maintainers/testers have been testing what we pushed out to them last Thursday. Will they retest on the respin?

What is missing from any respin procedure as of now is doing a "diff" of the original artifacts to respun ones to make sure nothing else unexpected changed.

Hi Jonah,
Beyond just re-triggering a build, what's the cost and risk involved with a respin? If both are low enough, I'd prefer a respin to not ship bugs that we can easily fix, and also as a way to grow our own confidence in our ability to respin easily.
If you think it's not too crazy to go for a respin, but just need some assistance with some paperwork or process stuff to make it safer and less stressful, feel free to ask and I'll help as much as I can.

Cheers
