Okay, that's very bad and definitively blocking. Thanks for noticing this!
Unfortunately I am in a meeting the whole day and won't be able to dive deeper into this issue. If I find something, I'll let you know.

The worst case could be that we have to delay the packages release. This would give me more time to look into it and find out what happens over the weekend.

Welcome screen (for JavaEE), but also default perspective, "about" box info.  Since this effected JavaEE and _javascript_, I'd assume it was a wide spread problem? I've opened bug 336897 to track.
