[epf-dev] Guideline for bug report and triage
|
Hi,
As some of you may have already noticed,
I've updated Bugzilla entries (for the Content component only) with priority,
severity, target milestone, status, etc. That may have caused a flooding
of emails from Bugzilla to those of you who 'watch' bugs traffic :-)
The intent of this update is to have
a better support for bug triage, allowing us to understand what bugs are
due for what milestone -- and respective severity/impact, if the bug has
an assignee or not, etc. In this way, we have a better sense of work to
be accomplished.
When creating a bug, the attached doc
may help to fill out some of the fields in the bug report. That's what
I used to make this last triage. I'd encourage discipline owners to use
it to assign the work to be done next.
After we experiment this guideline for
a while, we can certainly post a reviewed version of it in CVS/Web site.
Feedback is encouraged :-)
Also, if you want to run a query in
Bugzilla to see the work to be done (sorted by target milestone and by
bug priority), here you have it.
Just click (or copy and paste it in
the address box of your browser). When the query runs, Bugzilla will show
the results. Go to the bottom of the page and use the button "Remember
Search As" to give a meaningful name to the query, and you have it
saved to run again.

Or you can run this nice report that
shows assignees, priorities and target milestones:

I hope this is helpful. Please, contact
me if you have any question or any feedback.
