Greetings, fellow ELK people!
I just finished the first version of our new website:
https://www.eclipse.org/elk/It unifies all information, making GitHub Pages obsolete. The admins
will love me for opening yet another ticket to modify the GitHub
repository settings...
A few notes:
* All the changes pertaining to the new website are in the cds/newdocs
branch. Basically, the docs/ folder in the repository contains the new
website as a Hugo [1] project. To build the site, simply install Hugo,
navigate to the directory, and execute "hugo". The compiled website will
end up in the "public/" folder. To view the website locally, execute
"hugo server" and connect to
http://localhost:1313/elk/.
* The new website is not integrated into the automatic build yet. I'm
currently in contact with the Eclipse people to get that going.
* Once the build is running, we can provide either zipped versions of
the website for offline viewing, or online versions of the website for
different releases. Which of those we need to choose depends on some
technical details I don't want to bore you with.
If you have any comments regarding the design, feel free to shoot me an
e-mail. If you have any comments on the content, it might be best to
wait for me to merge the changes into master and then implement the
changes yourself.
Cheers,
Christoph Daniel
