This is because the about.html is missing from org.eclipse.jgit...
looking at the build.properties, it's there. However, I think we use
Tycho which probably isn't respecting the build.properties and not
including the about.html... correct? We should have this fixed.

No, the other way round, org.eclipse.jgit is built using plain maven.

Only the jgit feature and p2 repo are built using tycho. And egit is completely

built using tycho and there we can access the about.html.
