Re: [ee4j-pmc] Committer Election for James Perkins on Eclipse Yasson has started

Hi,

Yasson currently has three (3) committers. One of them hasn't been active since 2017. The other two voted +1 for this election. The EE4J PMC would like to get the election of James Perkins approved even if it didn't get the required three +1s? Re-running the election is futile since I don't expect any response from the inactive committer. It is an important project for Jakarta EE, and adding a committer from a different company (IBM) than the existing two (Oracle) is only beneficial.

A Committer election for James Perkins on project Eclipse Yasson
(ee4j.yasson) was started by Dmitry Kornilov with this criteria:

James has been actively helping address issues required by WildFly and JBoss
EAP, with several fixes merged and follow-up work proposed (e.g., PR #683).
He collaborates constructively with the current maintainers and has
explicitly offered to help with releases and ongoing maintenance. Granting
committer status will enable him to triage, review, and merge routine fixes
and to assist with release activities, improving responsiveness for our
downstream users.
