Re: [ee4j-pmc] Reminder to vote on the Project Lead Election for Marko Bekhta on Jakarta Validation

Greetings Eclipse EE4J PMC.

I have made this appointment based on your approval.

The nomination statement for this project lead election is weak. Our practice is to include specific pointers to examples of leadership or contribution. Specific Git comments and contributions to discussions on issues, pull requests, and discussions could be cited. I assume that these exist. Remember that like everything else we do, the process for gaining privileges in an Eclipse open source project is open, transparent, and meritocratic; and -- of course -- vendor neutral.

The permanent record of this election serves as an example of the path that one can follow to grow into this position; there's nothing in this nomination that provides anything to help potential future contributors understand what they need to do to join the project or grow into this position.

While it is focused specifically on committers, the message in this blog post applies equally well to project leads.

Please ensure that these practices are followed in the future.

Thanks,

Wayne

Criteria:

Marko  has made an impact on the project by actively contributing to the
previous release, and taking charge of the in progress 4.0 release.

It is my pleasure to nominate Marko as a project lead on Jakarta Validation.
