All,
Two late submissions from
Oracle. I don’t think either are particularly interesting but I wanted
to make sure the PC had an opportunity to see them.
Let me know if anyone really
wants to consider one of them.

Hi Ian,
Here are the oracle submissions. I tried forwarding them yesterday but
I guess it didn't work.
Thanks,
Roxanne
-------- Original Message --------
Roxanne,
Thank you so much for getting back
to me. After examining the proposed abstracts page, it seems the following
two abstracts are absent:
Enterprise Java Dependency Analysis in
Eclipse:
Dependency and structural analysis becomes exponentially more difficult
the more complex the application architecture becomes. With the evolution
of the power and capability of Enterprise Java applications and frameworks,
as well as the trend towards application interoperability and integration
this only compounds the issue. This presentation will discuss the practices
and pitfalls inherent in performing Dependency Analysis on some of these
more complex applications; in particular providing examples of how the
Enterprise Pack for Eclipse and the AppXRay system simplifies comprehending
these relationships through in-line prompts as well as visual relationship
diagramming. Several of the more complex application constructs will be
presented by way of case study showing how these relationships evolved,
and were eventually deciphered and simplified through analysis and architectural
patterning.
An Introduction to ADF Essentials:
While there are nearly as many application frameworks to choose from as
there are stars in the sky, the Oracle Application Development Framework
has consistently led the field in providing tooling and leadership towards
developing robust web applications. Oracle Product Management has always
made a point of working closely with the community, and one of the leading
requests has been to provide a method for developing and deploying ADF-based
applications without a licensing requirement. Now, with the release of
the ADF Essentials framework there is the ability to do just that with
a free-to-deploy target platform for developing ADF applications. This
presentation will detail the capabilities of this exciting new platform
as well as discuss how this can be utilized for developing robust, powerful
applications even if it is the only Oracle product in sight. Finally a
demonstration of configuration and utilization of ADF Essentials on Glassfish
will be performed to allow the audience to actually "kick the tires"
and see exactly what this framework can do and how easily it can be done.
Once again, I do appreciate your
assistance with this matter and if you have any further questions, please
don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Very Best Regards,
Shaun O'Brien

Greetings,
My name is Shaun O'Brien and I'm a Product Manager supporting the Oracle
Enterprise Pack for Eclipse. We had submitted several abstracts for this
years EclipseCon including "Enterprise Java Dependency Analysis in
Eclipse" as well as "An Introduction to ADF Essentials".
I had been told there was some reported latency in the submission system
this year as well as a couple of "hiccups" that required resubmission
of abstracts and wanted to make sure this wasn't the case here. If so,
I would be more than happy to send over the details on the missing abstracts
so that they receive due consideration.
Very Best Regards,
Shaun O'Brien
