[eclipsecon-na-program-committee] FW: EclipseCon 2014 - Call for Papers Deadline

Title: Untitled Document

This person sent me an abstract since he missed the deadline. If the PC would like to consider it I can get it entered into the system.  Let me know if anyone would like to have it considered.

Thanks, Ian.

Abstract:

Fitness has become an increasingly important focus within the community as preventative medicine is aiming to move into the norm, rather than the exception. Many companies have developed fitness trackers for both daily activities and specialized ones and offer ways to visualize that data. Many of the services require dedicated applications and give limited statistical functionality. In this session we will look at diving into Fitocracy’s web services and exposing an OSGi API that provides access to these as well as using OSGi on the server side to provide a visualization of one’s statistical physical progress.

Hi Ian,

My apologies but I had some extenuating familial issues that restricted me from submitting a proposal before the deadline. I had a small topic I wanted to present on leveraging open APIs for fitness tracking using OSGi services on the server-side, but I did not have a chance to submit. Is there any way I can still submit? Thanks.

EclipseCon 2014

Dear EclipseCon Alumni,

The deadline for  the EclipseCon 2014 Call for Papers is Monday, November 18, less than 1 week!

We want to encourage everyone to submit a speaker proposal. We especially want to hear from people who have never spoken at EclipseCon. Everyone has a story to tell so we want to hear what you have been doing with Eclipse.

As you know, EclipseCon features great technical sessions. This year we have tracks for Java, C/C++ and _javascript_ development, Eclipse RT, Eclipse 4/RCP, Lifecycle Tools and Modeling. New this year will be an M2M Day, Vert.x Day and a Polarsys Day. If your talk doesn’t fit into any of these tracks we also have the popular Cool Stuff category.

We would love to see you back at EclipseCon in 2014. Even better we would love to learn from your experiences so please submit a session today .

Regards,
Ian Skerrett

Conference Chair
