Agree with the explanation. Also also assume that dependency injection is covered in the e4 introduction tutorial.

Another one... for me the key issues were
that the subject of the talk was too narrow (only injection), not particularly
new, and for this kind of talk we tended to favour speakers who were contributors
on the project.

talk denied, and I would like to know the real
reason... Is there another one about this subject ?
May be should I give more information about it... I
am, in France, the only consultant providing Eclipse 4 trainings and consultancies,
and I see lot of people about this technology. Unfortunately I feel them
very reticent to move to this new architecture, for several reasons. One
of them is that injection is too magical and they can't feel all the mechanisms
behind the scene... When I explain it, with all the secrets revealed, they
start to understand that Eclipse 4 should be considered.... This talk contains
a lot of explanation so as to demystify the injection mechanism and to
clarify some very specific tricks in Eclipse 4. I already wrote a
post on my blog (but in french) about it, and
it is one of the pages that is the more read on my web site...
To be adopted, Eclipse 4 needs basic talks about the basic
technologies it uses.
If there is a second selection round, I hope you will
consider these arguments.
