Re: [eclipsecon-na-program-committee] Tutorials

This year I think it makes sense. There is a large demand for information on migrating to Eclipse 4 right now. They were intentionally designed to be quite different - one is getting started for people who haven't looked at it, and the other is an advanced tutorial for people who have already started to migrate and have deeper questions/issues to get into.

I see there are two tutorials on e4. Does that make sense?

Sorry for the email blast today. We didn't have time to talk about tutorials in the call today. However I just reviewed them and I think we are in good shape. Ian S advised we will have 10 tutorial slots for EclipseCon (+6 for Agile/OSGi DevCON). When I sort by votes, there is a clear dividing line after the first ten already. Those top ten include representatives for all the major categories, and I think they cover all the popular tutorial bases nicely: CDT, Tycho/build, Server development, Mobile/M2M, Eclipse 4, Web, modeling and DSL. As we said on the call today all the BIRT talks were rejected, and they do have a solid consumer community, so it is nice to see their tutorial in the list. I think all ten are technical experts in those domains with good speaking/teaching experience. I am quite happy with this list and don't have any proposed changes. Please take a look at the list and comment if you think something is missing, or if one of those 10 shouldn't be there. We can also review on Thursday's call if needed.
