The Facebook announcement is partly what makes the topic so interesting. It is not a simple question of web vs native. They already had a native iOS app, the latest version just has more native components. They still make heavy use of mobile web. Many of the media reports were inaccurate and took the statement out of context, so it is worth checking out:

Anyway, it is just an idea. I also talked to Andrew Overholt quickly and he can send us names of people who can talk about Mozilla OS. If we don't need that for a keynote I'll definitely encourage them to submit a regular talk. Although not directly about Eclipse it falls into the "cool stuff" category IMO.
