+1 for cancelling next week.
Keynote update:
Rob Pike declined
Tim Berner Lee did not respond
I will move on to Jeff Norris and Kevlin Henney.
I think having two 30 minutes keynotes would be an interesting idea, maybe focusing on mobility. Not sure if the Facebook speaker would be good since Facebook just announced they were moving away from the mobile web towards native apps.

Subject: [eclipsecon-na-program-committee] September 24 Meeting
Hello fellow EclipseCon PC members,
Our next scheduled meeting is next Monday, September 24th. However I just noticed I have a medical appointment that I can't change that afternoon. I'm sure the meeting can go on without me if Anne or Ian could drive the call. On the other hand, this seems to be a quiet period before submissions start to roll in, so maybe we can just cancel and have any discussion on the mailing list?
Our immediate business is still with the keynotes. I have been thinking if we can't get "big name" speakers then I'm warming up to the idea of two shorter talks one morning. One talk I came across, that is not the best speaker but very interesting subject matter, is Matt Kelly from Facebook talking about the mobile web: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDkb_D-37LU . I think that one could work well as a shorter keynote. Any other thoughts? Ian what is the state of our keynote invites?
