Thinking more about it, I really like your suggestion on a speaker about
open source and government. It would be different from the usual
EclipseCon content, but given the potential attendee base in the D.C area,
it might help attract more local people to the conference. Perhaps a past
keynote from GOSCON could be roped in, or someone like Alexander B. Howard
who is tapped into that community. There seems to be a growing interesting
in "open data" in governments, and encouraging mobile/web application
development to tap into that data (opengovernmentdata.org, data.gov,
www.data.gc.ca, etc). I think this has potential for interest to a wide
variety of Eclipse projects, including runtimes, modeling, data tools, and
language tools.

[eclipsecon-na-program-committee] keynote suggestions
I have started a list of potential keynote speakers for EclipseCon 2012.
Please add any suggestions you might have to the list.
Thanks
