Re: [eclipse.org-requirements-council] March 19 Requirements Council Meeting Minutes

These minutes look good to me....I was thinking though that Don had said he would send out a draft of the themes and priorities before we did the road map teleconference call...
I must report though that I have not had a chance to socialize the StAC meeting, so I cannot give you any committed numbers for the meeting at Java1....and the earliest I can do that is end of next week.
Thanks, Pat

[eclipse.org-requirements-council] March 19 Requirements Council        Meeting Minutes

Here are the minutes for our Requirements Council meeting last week that I plan to post to the Wiki.  Please advise of any corrections.

The requirements council met on March 19th for one hour at EclipseCon.
Attendance :
-          Paul Clenahan, Actuate
-          Pat Huff, IBM
-          Donald Smith, Eclipse Foundation
-          Raghu Srinivasan, Oracle
-          Mikhail Voronin, Intel

Minutes
-          Donald outlined the proposal to create a new membership class under the working name “Corporate Member” (or “Enterprise Member”) and the benefits of such a membership class.
o   The Council discussed various approaches for including feedback from the members of this new class into the Requirements Council including hosting an annual meeting similar to enterprise “customer advisory” retreats.
o   [ACTION: All] The council will work with their individual board members to keep aprised of the new membership class.
-          Donald outlined the plan from the December 2007 board meeting regarding the road map.
o   [ACTION: Donald] Requirements Council will schedule teleconference in April to update Themes and Priorities for Road Map
-          Donald detailed the low interest level for the StAC meeting on May 5, 2008 in San Francisco to line up with Java One.  So far there are only 2 confirmations (Oracle and Sybase) and only two “pending travel approval” confirmations.
o   [ACTION: All] Verify if you and your organization can participate – in particular, we need to be recruiting our peers in the Planning Council.
o   [ACTION: Donald] Unless there is a reasonable quorum of 12+ participants confirmed by April 4th, cancel the meeting.
