[eclipse.org-requirements-council] Minutes and Status

Hi,
Minutes from our
April meeting are posted:
I met with Bjorn
earlier this week, and we agreed it was possible and a good idea to alter the
Themes and Priorities timelines to try to be more valuable to the Planning and
Architecture councils. If you recall, we laid out a set of milestones (see
minutes) to try to make a December'06 board meeting approval of the TP doc "V3",
but our real hope is to have a draft in place for the JulyAugust timeframe in
time for the planning for the next major release of Eclipse.
We need to start
brainstorming themes and priorities as we had planned. Asking projects to
add support for RCP wherever possible and supporting VISTA were two that we
discussed. Let's use EMAIL to bounce around a few more "major"
themes.
The WIKI is not yet
ready to do bugzilla accounts, so we can't use the Eclipse.org WIKI for this yet
(and I don't beleive everyone on the council is a committer). So let's
keep this to email for this moment.
I'd like to do a
conference call on May 2 at 10am PST, 1pm EST. The last call I organized
had an abysmal turnout, so I will be calling everyone over the next week to try
to touch base and confirm. Let me know ASAP if this is a particularly bad
time.
