[eclipse.org-requirements-council] Themes for July?

All:
At Eclipse Con we
discussed getting a new set of requirements, primarily theme-based, in place for
July. Below is a list I captured during our discussions and while I was
filling in for Borland at the board meeting. Perhaps these may help get
the creative thoughts flowing....
Theme "Brain Dump"
- Ease of use
- Productivity
- Emerging Trends (AJAX)
- Emerging Trends (Mobile/Embedded)
- "Coolness Factor"
- how to maintain this? It can be fleeting.
- Design Tools
- Vista
- Linux
- SWT
- "Easy RCP"
- Extending to
be Life-cycle
Platform
Question: Does
/ should the Requirements Council, gather requirements from Architecture
and Planning Councils? Also the
Board. I'm not clear on how we make sure ideas are getting adequately
cross-pollinated to achieve alignment of purpose. The Board in particular
seemed to have some overall goals for the foundation. It seems like we
should understandt those and see how we can support the overall goals in the
themes and roadmap.
